The past two days I have done nothing but focus on the Festival of Nativities. I keep referring to it like everyone knows what it is but most of you may not. Here is a little blurb from their site..
"The Festival of the Nativities event was first organized in 2001. It involved a small committee of individuals and displayed approximately 250 nativities. Since that time, the festival has grown into a true community event. That small group of individuals has now grown to over 550 volunteers and the nativity display has grown along with it. Nativities from over 30 different countries and cultures across the world are now displayed in creative and beautiful settings.
Additionally, two children's rooms with dress-up, crafts, and story time have been added to enhance the experience for youngsters. A full musical program featuring local talent add to the spirit of the Festival of Nativities event. We also feature two live Nativity performances on Saturday, which add yet another dimension to this wonderful community experience."
If you live anywhere close, come check out all the amazing nativity sets. I have linked it above and all the info is on the site.
Here are a few sneak peeks from my decorating adventure....
My partners in crime Jenni & Kariann. Could. not. have. done. this. without. them!
A whole lot of crates ....right? Sneak peaks don't include clear pictures ;)
A ton of work but worth every minute of it. I hope you all get to enjoy it!

I have been hearing about this wonderful event but have never made it to Vancouver to see it. This is certainly something I won't miss this year.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I have been so inspired by your blog since I found it. I can't believe you live just down the road a few. Sweet!
Hey Melinda,
ReplyDeleteI posted a link on my blog to yours with a shout out for this event.
I can't wait to see it.
Need to get rid of any of those crates? I need some but don't have the tools to make them.
