Wreath

It's time for the ornament wreath to come down off my front door.  The only problem is I don't have anything to take it's place.  Yesterday I set off to make a Valentine's wreath and ended up with something else.

Remember those burlap flower ornaments I made for my tree?  I put them to good use on my wreath!  Lovin' the different style of flowers together.

I also made a few burlap hearts for this wreath.  They didn't make the cut for this project but maybe something in the future?

  2. OK, so I must admit that I haven't been a big fan of the whole burlap craze...but after seeing this wreath, I am softening my opinion. I would totally put one of these on my door.
    Thanks for sharing.

  3. I second what Connie said. I wasn't really feeling the burlap craze, but now I'm thinking I might need to try and get some. BTW can you dye or paint it? I'm thinking I might start off with it in the earthy browns, but for the summer go white or something.

  4. I have to admit I too wasn't into the burlap thing and now I can't stop. You can get different colors at different craft stores. I'm not crazy about the red I have...I want it a little darker and I was wondering the same thing....what if I dye it? I will try it and let you know how it goes ;) I haven't seen white but I have a really light creme color. Thanks for commenting! It's fun to read what people think!

  7. I LOVE this wreath!!! The only sad thing about my seeing this now is that I'm out of burlap, and it's after 9 PM so there's not a craft store open. Can't wait to make this!!

  10. OK. I just came form your tute and giveaway. First of all, thanks. =)

now, it looks like the burlap you used for the wreath is finished on the edge. Like it is a strip[ of burlap not one you cut. no raw edges. Where did you get that? and do you just call it burlap strips? All I have seen is very thick, and yours looks so pliable.

    thanks again
